Alan and I have known Richard for over 20 years. He was a faithful servant at our church, within his community and loved his family.
A true believer in Christ, spreading the Word and helping others.
He will be missed.

Richard, we will miss your warm handshake and your effervescent smile. You were a wonderful steward of your God given talents. We’re so thankful God’s grace allowed us to have our last engaging conversation with you several weeks ago which as always allowed us to walk away with a smile on our faces and remembering of all of the things we were thankful for. We will all miss you dearly. To all of your family our hearts go out to them on the loss of their beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather. Words can’t begin to express our deep sense of loss for all of you. May your pain be eased by the rejoicing for an exceptional life well lived and shared with all of us. We were all dearly blessed to have such a wonderful friend.

Janet and family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and send my condolences to you. I so enjoyed seeing you and Richard dance at many sorority conventions. Although he was not an "official" Phi Bete member, he should also be honored and remembered as a Phi Beta Psi "husband supporter".

Paul and I want Richard's family to know how much Richard meant to us. I met Richard when I was covering news in Sellersburg for The Leader. He was such a gentleman and always had a kind word for my articles and columns. He was one of the most unpretentious people I have ever met. He and Paul became close through Promise Keepers and a men's Bible Study group called The James Game. We and the whole town will miss him and his servant attitude. We pray his family and all who called him friend will find peace knowing he has reached his true home and and is experiencing joy unspeakable and full of glory with all the other saints as they sit at the feet of Jesus.

Richard we know we will see you again, you are with Jesus now with a new body. We pray for each of your family that they would feel God's presence and His Holy Spirit filling them with peace. Surround them with your love and strength beyond their comprehension at this time and the months ahead.
