Michael Ray Farmer, 60, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Michael was born on April 27, 1960 to Darel and Margaret Farmer (Taflinger) in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was a 1978 graduate of William W. Borden High School. Michael was a supervisor at Kimball International located in Salem. He was with the company for 42 years. Michael was a member of Pekin United Methodist Church and the Salem Moose Lodge. Michael was an avid University of Kentucky and Cincinnati Reds Fan. He had a passion for local sports as well; Michael was an IHSAA official serving as a referee and an umpire. He played softball for G&G Radiator and All Flex. Michael thoroughly enjoyed a good day on the golf course and traveling with his loving wife, Gina. He was preceded in death by his father, Darel Farmer and his sister, Julia Farmer.
Survivors include his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Gina Farmer of Salem, Indiana, his son, Tyler Farmer (Kayla) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky and his mother, Margaret Farmer of Borden, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
