Jonathan Lane Howard, 37, passed away at his home in Louisville, Kentucky on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He was born on the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on October 3, 1984 in Dayton, Ohio. John was a disabled veteran. He honorably and courageously served our country in the United States Marine Corps. John was a former Information Technology Specialist and was currently working at the Robley Rex VA Hospital. He was currently holding a 4.0 GPA in the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work Masters Program. John was a talented cook. He also had a green thumb. He enjoyed growing and caring for his tropical plants. John was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Lane Howard, by his grandparents, Finley Howard, Felix Santiago and Juanita Lopez.
Survivors include his father, Allen L. Howard, his mother, Maria M. Santiago-Cessna, his companion, Kelly Lasita, his sons, Jasper “Carmen” Howard and Noah Christopher Lasita, his brother, Bronson Lane Howard (Sandy), his sister, Anna Domiray (Julian), his grandmother, Ruth Howard and his previous wife, Brittany Spears-Price. John also leaves behind 5 nieces and nephews to cherish his memory, Mariana Howard, Ayden Howard Sebastian, Miles Thomas, Sheldon Thomas and Julian Domiray.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 4, 2020 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with a military graveside service to follow. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
