David Harold Butler

 David Harold Butler passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23 , 2020 at Maple Manor Christian Home. David was born at home on February 10 , 1947 to the late William and Myrtie (Strader) Butler from Sellersburg. 
He retired from CSX Railroad in the spring of 2012 after 30 years of service as a track technician.
David loved his grandsons with a passion. They brought his life great joy. He also loved cars , tractors, and a good laugh. He was such a joy to everyone he met.
The family would like to thank the kind , loving caregivers at Maple Manor , they became family to us all. We were blessed to have him in such a wonderful place.
Surviving family include his daughter Robin (Chris) Costin of Sellersburg , grandsons Cody (Kristyn) Costin who are expecting David’s would be first great-grandson in January 2021 of Sellersburg , Jon Thomas Costin of Sellersburg , Wade (Presley) Costin of California and Jeffersonville , and Caleb Costin of Sellersburg. 
A private memorial service will be held at 6 pm Monday November 30 , 2020 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg . A private visitation will be from 5 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home .
