A. Joan (Cox) McCulloch

A. Joan McCulloch, 86, entered eternal life on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on the 15th of May 1935 to the late Carl and Mary Cox (Heath) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Joan was a retired office secretary. She worked at Hoosier Panel Company, Hesco Veneer, the American Cancer Society and Memphis Christian Church throughout her career. She was a very active church member throughout her life. Joan was currently a member of the Calvary Christian Church of Sellersburg and was a past member of Memphis Christian Church and Scottsburg First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority. Joan will be remembered for her nurturing personality and her love for ALL children. She cherished her grandchildren dearly including the ones that were not related. They all loved their Grandma Joan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Cox and by her sister, Betty Dann

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, William “Bill” McCulloch of Memphis, Indiana, her son, Michael “Mike” Albright (Theresa) of Henryville, Indiana, her daughter, Kelly Welty of Holiday, Florida, her step-son, Steve McCulloch of Clarksville, Indiana, her step-daughter, Linda Noe of Memphis, Indiana and her grandchildren, Erin Nichole Carey, Heather Campbell, Kimberly Loren Newby, Kristen Renee Rogers, Joshua Michael Noe, Robert Stephen Noe and Dr. Jeremiah William Noe “Peadunk”. Joan also leaves behind 8 great-grandchild to cherish her memory, Tyler Campbell, Preston Keith Carey, Conor Jay Carey, Brooklynn Marie Newby, Mikayla Joan Newby, Madison Elizabeth Rogers, Hunter Lee Rogers and Marlowe Grace Noe.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P. M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Christian Church (605 S Norman Dr, Sellersburg, IN 47172)  and Phi Beta Si sorority (New Albany).
