Phillip "Phil" Leo Lanham

Sellersburg, Indiana

Phillip “Phil” Lanham, 61, passed away on March 9, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital.  Born on April 18, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Henry and Mary Aline Lanham.  When Phil, or as his grandchildren lovingly called him, Papaw, wasn’t busy at the Barber Shop, enjoying time with his parents and siblings, or playing his guitar, he was living life to its fullest.  He was an avid sports fan, always staying true to the Louisville Cardinals.  Phil’s son Treves, was his best friend.  The two of them traveled far and wide, never missing out on an opportunity to have fun and always enjoying the simplest things that life had to offer.  In his most recent years, Phil could be found at the ball park or elementary gym supporting his oldest granddaughter, Lilly, or watching a movie and playing chase with his boy/girl twin grandchildren, Hudson and Charlie.  All three of whom he absolutely adored.  Survivors include his parents, Henry and Aline Lanham, son, Treves (Alissa) Lanham, siblings, Steve Lanham, Wayne (Becky) Lanham, Vickie Lanham and her companion, Richard Hall, grandchildren, Lilly Rae, Hudson Jay and Charlie Emery Lanham.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8PM and anytime after 9AM until the time of service on Wednesday.  Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
