Norma Jean “Jeannie” Cooper Obituary

Norma Jean “Jeannie” Cooper, 82, of Memphis, Indiana passed away June 15, 2019. She was born Norma Jean Jewell on September 17, 1936 in Adair County, Kentucky and was loved by many including her husband of 59 years Lloyd Ray Cooper, her children Mark and Linda Cooper, grandchildren Chad Cooper (Katie) and Chrissi White (Thomas) and her great grandchildren Evan, Alexia and Jules.

She was a lifetime member of Memphis Community Church and a beloved servant of the Lord and was loved by all who knew her.  Jeannie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Katie and Joe Jewell, sisters Louise Tate, Eula Mae Greenwood, and brother Donnie Jewell. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Aldine McRae, Marlene Wilson, Joyce Jackson and brother Ronnie Jewell.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
