Gary Mitchell Kenner, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Englewood, Florida while hiking. He was born on February 8, 1955 to the late John and Mary Kenner (Smith) in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Kenner honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from the Metropolitan Sewer District in Louisville, Kentucky. He thoroughly enjoyed hiking and traveling. His favorite traveling destinations included The Great Smoky Mountains, Kentucky Lake and Florida. Mr. Kenner was preceded in death by his brother, Leland Kenner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Shannon Kenner of Milltown, Indiana, his son, Boone Kenner (Joyce) of California, Maryland, his daughters, Brooke Kenner-Gleitz (Neal) of Nokomis, Florida, Hayley Kenner of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Morgan Weinzapfel (Alex) of Evansville, Indiana, his brothers, Keith Kenner of Louisville, Kentucky, Jerry Kenner (Judy) of Russellville, Kentucky, his sisters, Sandy Taylor (Edward) of Russelville, and Jeanne Perkerson also of Russellville. Mr. Kenner also leaves behind three grandchildren, Aurora Kenner, Ayden Kenner and Phoenix Kenner-Gleitz.
A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. unitl 6:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.
