For the family, I just discovered that one of the types of units available here at Traditions at Hunter Station was named after Frances. A perfect legacy in Sellersburg for someone whose vibrant life was an important part of that community.

I know that words are inadequate at a time like this, but I wanted you to know how very sorry I am for your loss. May you find comfort in God's promise at Isaiah 25:19.

Frances was a kind, caring, loving woman of God! My Mom, Marion (Wells) Snelling, and Frances were related. I've known Frances and "Boob" all my life! I'm living in Portland, Oregon now and won't be able to attend the services but will be with the family in my thoughts and prayers! She is with "Boob" and others who have gone before her! May God bring comfort during this difficult time! Peace!

We are so sorry for your loss. While nothing will completely take away your grief, we have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting where it promises that soon God will swallow up death forever and wipe away the tears from all faces. May God comfort you and give you peace in the days ahead. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

I was blessed to have a connection to Mammaw McKinley. My son married her granddaughter Leslie Embry. She warmed my heart every time I saw her. I never saw her without a smile and a glow that can only come from a Christ-filled heart. She was beautiful in every way. I loved her and all that she brought to my son and his family. Rest now Frances, your work on earth is done. You were a blessing to more people than you could ever imagine. You are finding all that out now as you see your life from God's perspective. You left a wonderful legacy in your children and grandchildren. That sweetness is seen in them. Your beautiful presence will be missed so much by those left to live on without you for a time. But we who know Jesus as our Savior, know that when we join you we will be greeted by you and "Boob" and all who have gone before us. What a party we will have with Jesus and all our loved ones who shared connections with you here on earth. You made Heaven brighter when you entered those pearly gates. But those left behind hurt for the loss of you and all you brought to them. Thank God the separation is only temporary. We can't wait to sit around and hear you play the piano and organ God has given you in Heaven. I can only imagine the homecoming you are experiencing now. It warms my heart to think that you are meeting my parents and Paul's parents. You will have a lot to talk about. We will see you later sweet Frances. We rejoice in your victory. You loved deeply and are deeply love.

She left this world a lot brighter with her warmth and spirit. And she left a wonderful legacy in her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. (And I will think of her when I make her peach pie.)

We loved Frances McKinley! Larry and I lived in Sburg 1962-72. She and Millie Wells were sisters in law and both such sweet souls. Frances could be thought of as a spirit of the town because she was welcoming and possessed a great spirit of love . The town has lost a true lady.
