To Toby and all Dixie's Family:
It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. Dixie will forever live in my childhood memories. I recall countless hours as a boy playing basketball and wiffle ball in Dixie's backyard. She was a warm, inviting person. I imagine that is why her home became a gathering spot for myself and all Toby's friends - a safe place for kids to be kids. As a father of two boys, I can only hope the parents of my children's friends are as special as Dixie was. Her positive spirit undoubtedly impacted me as a child and I am blessed to have known her. Deepest condolences to all.

To Dixie's Family,
Please accept my condolences for your loss and my apology for not attending her service. I was out of town. Dixie was a good friend and a special lady.

To Dixie's children with Harold Roudenbush: My maiden name was Janet Fothergill. Your mom and I graduated from New Albany in 1957 and we were high school friends. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding to your father. We lost touch somewhere along the line and I always wished I could touch base with her again. She and your dad lived in that little brick house off Green Valley Road and I visited her there often after she and your dad married. She was a wonderful friend for years and I am so sorry for your loss. I wish we could have stayed in touch. God bless you. Could you please tell me what happened to her. Thank you so much and I know you will miss her and her beauty and love.
