William Randolph "Randy" Cissell

William Randolph “Randy” Cissell, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, just one day shy of his 67th birthday. Born on March 2, 1958, in New Albany, Indiana, Randy spent the majority of his life in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and warm spirit.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His dedication to his country was unmatched, and he carried that same passion into his daily life. After retiring, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures, whether indulging in the tunes of Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr., and Johnny Cash, or spending a day at the casino playing the slots. An avid fan of horse racing, he also cherished the time spent outdoors, be it at a barbecues or taking leisurely strolls around the neighborhood.

A devout Baptist, Randy was a man of faith who found solace in reading the Bible. He had a penchant for sharing its teachings, eager to offer words of encouragement and hope to those in need of the Good Word.

He is survived by his sons, Joshua R. Cissell and Jordan T. Cissell. He also leaves behind his sister, Pamela Brenan and  his cherished friend, Michael A. Ray. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rosemarie Cissell, and his dear wife, Lisa "Cheech" Cissell, with whom he is now reunited.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Randy touched are invited to the visitation at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a Funeral Service will be held to honor his life and legacy. He will be laid to rest next to his dear wife at Sellersburg Cemetery.
