William “Bill” Hill, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his home in Sellersburg, Indiana. He was born on October, 17, 1944 in Paoli, Indiana. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Sellersburg Police Department, where he served as the assistant chief of police. Bill was a member of the Speed Memorial Church, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, and Southern Indiana Cruisers SCRC #372 motor cycle club. He was also a Master Mason of the Buckner Masonic Lodge #631 of Sellersburg. Bill was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Tim Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Hill of Sellersburg, his sons, Michael Hill (Lora) of Clarksville, Indiana, Larry Hill (Tonya) of Oklahoma, daughters, Sheryl Adam (John) of Sellersburg, Andrea O’Connell (Clayton) of Sellersburg, his mother, Josephine Hudgens of Sellersburg, brothers, Dan Hill (Tammy) of Salem, Rick Newkirk of New Albany, Ed Newkirk of New Albany, Karl Hudgen of Salem, Indiana, sisters, Kathy Warth (Gary) of New Albany, Peggy Baker of Salem, Indiana, Opal Swift Campbellsburg, Kentucky, Vickie Snider (Jerry)of Lafayette, Indiana. Bill also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Cremation was chosen to fulfill Bills Wishes.
