Wanda H. Coleman

Wanda H. Coleman, 98, went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2023. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Luther Harrell and Lillie Harrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George A. Coleman, by her son George David Coleman, and by her grandson Garry G. Buttermann, IV.

Wanda was a devout Christian and a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville for 68 years. She was employed as a secretary/office manager for much of her working life,  Wanda retired in the late ‘70’s from the Army Corp of Engineers. 

She is survived by daughters Marilyn (Garry) Buttermann, Crestwood, Kentucky and Tana (Bob) Harris, Charlestown, Indiana, by her grandchildren, Jill (Jason) Canuel, Susan (Dan) Gingerich, Kelly (Matt) Oakley, Rob Harris, and Veronica Harris, by her 12 great grandchildren, by her devoted friends Ed and Sarah Vance, Debbie Kleehammer, and Jerry Haggard, by her faithful companion Hector the dog, and many other friends and relatives. 

Funeral services will be 11:00A.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at First Southern Baptist Church (215 Ettles Ln, Clarksville, Indiana 47129) with Brother Russ Lievers

officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg and on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 9A.M. until time of service at First Southern Baptist Church. 

Burial will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky. Expressions of sympathy can be made to: First Southern Baptist Church (215 Ettels Ln, Clarksville, Indiana 47129).
