Wanda Lou (Sewell) Offutt

Wanda Lou Offutt, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her home in Sellersburg with her family by her side. She was born on September 19, 1937 to the late George and Mae Sewell (Ross) in Abilene, Texas. Wanda served in the ministries alongside her late husband, Brother Dale Offutt. She was a member of the Sellersburg Church of Christ for the last 44 years. Wanda thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and fellowshipping with the church ladies, being a Kentucky Wildcat Sports fan and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, George and Joe Sewell.

Survivors include her sons, Walter Kurt Offutt (Linda) of Sellersburg, George Kent Offutt of Evansville, Indiana, her sister, Francis Welch of Ft. Worth, Texas, grandchildren, Tyler Offutt of Chicago, Illinois, Haley Schapker (Austin) of Evansville and Tessa Offutt of Evansville. Wanda also leaves behind her dear friend, Libbie McMahan of Sellersburg to cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Sellersburg Church of Christ with interment to follow at the Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
