Thomas "Buddy" Edward Middleton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas “Buddy” Edward Middleton, who left this world on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, at the age of 64. A beloved resident of Charlestown, Indiana, Buddy was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on a sunny Sunday morning, April 23rd, 1961. 

Buddy was an avid outdoorsman, cherishing his time spent deer hunting and coon hunting. His love for these pursuits was exceeded only by his passion for poker, where he delighted in the camaraderie and challenge of the game.  Buddy was known to be a “Jack-of-all-trades.” It didn’t matter if you needed mechanic work on your car or new roof, he was the man to call.

He dedicated much of his life to the construction industry, where his hard work and dedication left a lasting impression on those he worked alongside.

Buddy is survived by a loving family who will continue to honor his memory: his mother, Carol Middleton, his son, Thomas Middleton, and his daughters, Samantha Reeder and Marlena Matthews, his step-sons, Michael Combs and Sam Combs, his dear sisters, Teresa Scott (Keith), Twana Middleton. He was a grandfather to Makayla Middleton, Karma Green, Christopher Bates, Michael Stockdale, and Ryan Middleton and great- grandfather, Memphis Bates and Magnolia Bates. He is also survived by his nephew Jeremy Middleton. Buddy will be missed dearly by his fur companion Shadow in the days to come.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Middleton, and his brother, Trevor Middleton, who surely greeted him with open arms on his arrival to the other side.

To pay tribute to Buddy's life, friends and family are invited to a visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Monday, May 12th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow immediately at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
