Thomas Jack Boyd

Thomas Jack Boyd, 77, passed away on May 23, 2020 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on August 27, 1942 to the late Damon and Deila Boyd (Payne) in Scottsburg, Indiana. Thomas honorably served his country in the United States Army and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad where he worked as a foreman. He enjoyed working in his yard, feeding the birds and the squirrels, spending time with his grandchildren and playing practical jokes. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Zon, Robert and Bud Boyd and by his sisters, Elsie Reynolds, Carrie Harman, Dale Rich and Grace Peacock.   

Survivors include his daughters, Shawn R. Eurton of Sellersburg, Cheryl L. Carroll of New Albany, his brother, John Boyd (Ann) of Crothersville, Indiana,  his sister, Barbara Keller (Clyde) of Scottsburg, Indiana, grandchildren, Kayla and Tiffany Carroll, Christopher Toler, Dylan and Desiree Eurton,  his great-grandchildren, Jayden, Emmalyn, Lucas, Lennox, Ensley, Livian and 2 on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to:  American Cancer Society (P.O.
