Steven Scott Lindsey, age 58, was a proud 1985 graduate of Jeffersonville High School and a graduate of Ivy Tech College. He retired from SSI in 2025 after years of committed service.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother and father, Alene Sanders, and Robert Lee Lindsey; his beloved sister, Lisa Rhoades; and his stepfathers, Robert Auter and Charles Sanders.

He is survived by his children: Lindsay Lindsey, Robert Lindsey (Devyn), and Riley Lindsey. His grandson, Grayson Lindsey, brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his sister, Deanna (Dale) Hall, brother in-law Kirk Rhoades, and cherished mother-in-law, Barbara Ellnor.

Steve was a proud graduate of Jeff High (Class of ’85). He loved his classmates and remains close to them today. Steve grew up camping and fishing. He loved spending time with family, working on his truck, and seeing his grandson, Grayson, who always brought a big smile to his face.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
