Sharon Ann Berner, 75, entered eternal life on Monday, April 18, 2022 at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana. She was born on September 2, 1946 to the late Carl and Mary Davis (Lawrence) in Zanesville, Ohio. Sharon was a member of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) and the Red Had Society. She retired from Oak Hills School District where she worked as a teacher at Delhi Junior High School of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sharon earned her undergraduate degree from Anderson College and her master’s degree from Ball State University. She thoroughly enjoyed taking cruises. Her most memorable voyages were to Alaska and Hawaii. Sharon actively supported animal cause organizations and adored her cats and dogs. She was an avid pianist and organist, touring Europe in her youth and playing in church for many years. Sharon was preceded in death by her second husband, Warren Berner, by her third husband, Robert Hoehn and by her granddaughter, Harper Wehneman.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Wehneman (Melissa) of Georgetown, Indiana, Neil Wehneman of Louisville, Kentucky and her sister, Donna Kimmerling (John) of McCordsville, Indiana. Sharon also leaves behind 2 grandchildren to cherish her memory, Cadence and Finley Wehneman.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
