Ruth Coleen Matthews, 82, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at her home. She was a member of Memphis Christian Church, American Legion Post 204 Lady’s Auxiliary, Tri County Shrine Club-Lady’s Guild, Hoosier Hillbilly's and a Kentucky Colonel. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Matthews, her mother, Ruby and three sisters, Sheila, Sandra and Sue. Surviving are her son, Doug Matthews, daughter, Donna McCartin, brother, Billy Houchens, grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve), Matthew (Trish), Michael (Emmy), Ryan (Lauren), Lauren (Dontre), great-grandchildren, Braydon, Brody, Brewer, Kobe, Liam, McKenna, Diesel and Remington. A graveside service will be held 1PM Friday at Sellersburg Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
