Rosemarie Rita (Wagner) Ramser

Rosemarie Rita Ramser, a beloved resident of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 at Maple Manor Christian Home. Born at home on Thursday, September 24th, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, Rita lived a life full of grace, kindness, and steadfast devotion to her family.

Rita was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Cynthia Whalen (Michael), Julia Fuchs (Mark), Billy Ramser (Carla), Anna Goodwin (Jerry) and Matthew Ramser (Mary Ann). She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: William Whalen (Sarah), Michael Fuchs (Kayla), Elizabeth Cecil (Audrey), Samantha Ramser, Danielle Taylor (Nolan), Kaitlyn Wiseman (Tommy), Kelsey Joy Goodwin, Logan Goodwin (Katie), Craigen Goodwin (Kassidy), Tifany Stewart (Michael), and Kimberly Mares (Dylan). Additionally, Rita was blessed with the joy of 18 great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love.

Her life was marked by the deep dedication she showed to her family and her remarkable career as a dance instructor. Rita had a passion for the art of dance and instilled that same joy and grace in many students over the years. She was also a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and previously lent her talents and energy to the Jaycees of Sellersburg, Indiana.

Rosemarie is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ann Wagner, and her dear daughter, Joanie Marie Ramser.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 27th, 2025, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, IN, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, Sellersburg, IN, on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the procession to the church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church (2253 W St Joe Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172).
