Robert "Grasshopper" "LeeBo" Howard

Robert W. “Grasshopper” “LeeBo” Howard, 78, entered into eternity on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his home in Memphis, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 1, 1946, at home in New Albany, Indiana, Bob was the cherished son of the late Curtis and Grace (Bowers) Howard.

Bob was a member of Central Christian Church in New Albany. He took pride in his work as a self-employed plumber, from which he retired after years of service to his community. Beyond his career, Bob had a passion for golfing, a hobby he enjoyed throughout his life. Bob was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Emogene Tomes and by his mother-in-law, Glendolyn Tomes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Howard (Tomes) of Memphis, Indiana, his son, Roman “Gabe” Howard (Teresa) of Franklin, Kentucky, his daughters, Tina Leddon (John) of Jeffersonville, Sandie Hernandez of Satellite Beach, Florida, his grandchildren, Selena Howard, Andrea Howard, Francesca Hernandez, Jordan Leddon and Sydney Leddon. Bob also leaves his 6 brother-in-laws, a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

Cremation was chosen to honor Bob wishes. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the heartfelt care Amy and the team at Carefirst Hospice extended to Bob and the family during this difficult time.
