Rickie L. Cantrell, 55, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home in Bardstown, Kentucky surrounded by his loving wife and his family. He was born on October 29, 1964 to Kenneth and Phyllis Cantrell in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Rickie was a retired Mechanic and classic car enthusiast. His last two projects included his 1955 Chevy Bel Air and a 1935 Chevy coupe. Rickie was a member of the International Hot Rod Association. He enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Rickie was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth E. Cantrell and by his fur baby, Kosmo.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Flanagan-Cantrell, his mother, Phyllis Cantrell of Bardstown, Kentucky, his daughter, Amanda Cash (Leroy) of Columbia, South Carolina, his son, Jacob Cantrell of Hillview Kentucky, his bonus son, Ricky Flanagan of Sellersburg, his brother, Michael Cantrell (Karen) of Taylorsville, Kentucky, his uncle, Ronnie Smith (Janice) and his nephew, Kenny Cantrell (Kelsey) Rickie also leaves behind 5 grandchildren to cherish his memory, Carter Cantrell, Brendon Cash, Tyler Cash, Bryson Cash and Triston Cash.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
