R. Bradley Walker Obituary

R. Bradley Walker, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many, passed peacefully on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on May 14th, 1927, Bradley lived a life full of warmth, humor, and love, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bradley was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Mae (Kohler) Walker, they married on January 7th, 1949, his cherished daughter Karen Moss, and his parents Clarence and Eunice Walker. He was also preceded by his nine siblings, who together shared a rich tapestry of family stories and love.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons  Bradley Walker (Lisa), and Perry Walker (Kathy) and Bruce Walker (Teresa). Bradley was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, and a distinguished great-grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren as well as two great-great-grandchildren—a living legacy of love and connection.

Bradley was a dedicated mason by trade and took pride in his work as a proud union bricklayer. He was a steadfast presence in his profession, known for both his work ethic and skill in his craft. Beyond his work, Bradley's heart was with his family, and he always made time for his grandkids, ensuring they felt his love and support in everything they did.

A man of many interests, Bradley was renowned as the "world's most perfect driver" and led an adventurous life, famously water skiing on the Ohio River—on one leg. His playful nature extended to his love for Euchre, which he played with unmatchable enthusiasm. He was an avid pinochle player. There were many heated games between his buddies and family whenever they played. Bradley was a passionate golfer and held a deep affection for horse racing; the Kentucky Derby was akin to a national holiday in his home. In his later years, he dedicated himself as an honorary Son of the American Legion, cooking rolled oysters with the same zeal he approached every task in life.
