Peggy Joann (Powell) Haley

Peggy Joann Haley, 93, of Sellersburg, Indiana, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Sellersburg Healthcare Center. Born at home in Sellersburg on June 21, 1930, Peggy was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby Powell (Thomas).

Peggy was a faithful and devoted member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church, where her presence and spirit were cherished by the congregation. Known for her love of getting her hair done and her fondness for shopping trips, Peggy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She also cared deeply for her beloved cat, Princess, who was her constant companion.

She is survived by her cousin, Joyce Hecker of Sellersburg, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Peggy's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her loved ones left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit celebrated by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2024 with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
