Pauline Shepard Obituary

Pauline Shepard, 94, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family.

Born on July 26, 1929, Pauline was a shining light from the moment she entered this world. She was the beloved daughter of Leslie and Altie (Steff) Keown and grew up in Morgantown, KY, where she developed the resilience and zest for life that would define her character.

Pauline's life was a beautiful tapestry of cherished memories and shared adventures. She found her greatest joy alongside herhusband Charlie, as they cast their lines into the tranquil waters while fishing. Their love for one another was only matched by their love for the great outdoors. Their travels, especially to the sun-kissed shores of Myrtle Beach, were a testament to their enduring love and sense of adventure. Pauline's love for exploration and being on the go continued throughout her life.

Beyond her adventures, Pauline had a heart of gold. She was a neighborhood favorite, adored by all the children who were drawn to her warmth and kindness. She had a magical way of making each child feel special and loved, and her home was often filled with laughter and the sounds of joyous play.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie Shepard, Jr, daughter Wilma, and Wilma’s husband John Patrick, and infant daughter Katherine Marie Shepard.

Pauline is survived by her loving sons, Mike (Wilma) and Dennis (Susan); her devoted daughters, Norma Shepard (Bob Curts) and Wanda Goff (Charlie); 7 cherished grandchildren,Deborah Belden (Bob), Kelley Miller (Jeff), Jody Adams (Bryan), Leslie Combs (Eddie), Laura Haehl (Brian), Tuesday Guernsey (Andy), Samantha Alexander; 15 adored great-grandchildren Patia Young (Matt), Dani Cottage (Nick), Carlie Combs (Tyler Straub), Emory Lewis (Andrew Day), Ben Lewis, Sean Belden, David Snelling, Andrew Adams, Jacob Adams, Eric Miller, Kyle Miller (Erin), Indy Guernsey, Italy Guernsey, Ivory Guernsey, Shelby Endris, Shepard Alexander and 5 precious great-great-grandchildren, Roland, Harper, Noah, Rhett, and Maddox.
