Paula Kay Jackson

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paula Kay Jackson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Paula left this world peacefully on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 60 years old.

Born on March 21st, 1964, in New Albany, Indiana, Paula spent most of her life in Borden, Indiana, where she created a warm and loving home. A devoted homemaker, Paula dedicated her life to caring for her family, embodying kindness and generosity in every action. She was renowned in her community as the sweetest woman you ever met, someone whose love knew no bounds. Paula fought valiantly to the very last from a hereditary lung disease.

Paula had a deep passion for the arts, particularly painting and wood burning. Her artistic talents were admired by all who knew her, and her works of art will continue to be cherished by her family and friends. Besides her art, Paula had a love for the great outdoors, particularly fishing, where she found peace and joy.

She is survived by her devoted son, Brady Jackson (Sarah) of Henryville, IN; her loving spouse, George Butt; her cherished daughter, Natasha Butt; her dear brother, Jeffrey Jackson; and her precious granddaughter, Scarlett Wilson. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Carolyn Jackson, whom she always remembered with fondness and love.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Swayback Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
