Patricia "Patsy" (Seidl) Slaughter

Patricia “Patsy” Slaughter, 75, entered eternal life on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Lincoln Hills in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on March 13, 1946 to the late Edward and Anna Seidl (Livers) in Louisville, Kentucky. Pasty retired from the Family Health Clinic of Louisville, where she worked as a Dental Assistant for 47 years. She was a member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church. Patsy was an avid square dancer, belonging to 3 different square dancing clubs. She thoroughly enjoyed camping and being a member of the River Boat Sams Camping Club.  Patsy collected bells. She grew her collection to over 350 over the years. She loved being a grandma and a GG, which allowed her to spoil her grandchildren. Patsy cherished the time she spent with “the girls”, a group of ladies she had known since age 3.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Mousty, by her brothers, William Seidl, Robert Seidl, by her sister, Mary Davis and by her God-children, Jeremy and Jennifer Bingham.

Survivors include her loving husband, Dennis Slaughter of Sellersburg, her son, Aaron Slaughter (Joyce) of Jeffersonville, her brother, Edward Seidl (Barbara) of Mount Washington, Kentucky, her sister, Shirley Bingham of Louisville, her grandchildren, Leighanna Beck (Chris), Cynthia Slaughter, Brittany Slaughter, Casie Lee (Ethan), Cameron Michael and Alexis Mousty. Patsy also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren to cherish her memory, Brayden, Isabella, Hadley, Emery and Remington.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Brother Toby Jenkins will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
