Norma Carol (Creamer) Armstrong Richards

Norma Carol Armstrong Richards, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at Lake Point Village in Scottsburg, Indiana with her family by her side. She was born on Thursday, September 5th, 1935, in Seymour, Indiana.

Norma was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and love. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family as she was a member of the Sellersburg Church of Christ. Norma had a special affection for her Dachshund dogs, which brought her immense joy and companionship throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dorsey Richards; her daughters Pamela Pooler (Dennis) and Karen Jenkins (David); her son Bryan Armstrong (Shelia); and her grandchildren, Chad Pooler, Shawn Pooler (Trisha), Justin Armstrong (Jessica), and Christopher Armstrong. Norma also leaves her 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Norval and Myrtle Creamer; her siblings, Gordan Creamer, Berniece  Brackemyre, Wilma Davenport, and Nelson Creamer; and her first husband, Melvin Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
