Nancy Lee Patus

Nancy Lee Patus, 69, passed away suddenly on January 27, 2023.  She was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on August 20, 1953, and was the adopted daughter of the late Jack and Rebecca Nagel.

Nancy was a passionate educator, working with multiple school systems in Southern Indiana for over 15 years.  After retirement, she enjoyed splitting her time between Indiana and Florida. 

Left to cherish her memory are her son Jacob Patus; stepson, Matthew Patus; and Giovanni Marquez and Stan Ivanov, who consider her to have been a second mother.  Nancy's final moments were filled with laughter and joy.

Respecting Nancy's wishes, her family has chosen cremation, which was entrusted to Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Her family encourages donations to the Arbor Day Foundation or a local animal shelter as an expression of sympathy.
