Nancy Johnson

Nancy Johnson, a beloved friend, sister, and community member at Riverview Village, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4th, 2025, at the age of 75 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born on June 16, 1950, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Nancy was known for her warm spirit, love of life, and dedication to those she cherished.

Nancy had a vibrant presence and was a cherished figure within the Clarksville community. Known for her sociable nature, she delighted in spending time with her friends, frequently participating in bingo games and tending to her beloved garden. Her joyous spirit and infectious laughter were a source of warmth to all who knew her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ernest Gedling Sr. and Aliat Gedling; her brother, Ernest Gedling; and her sister, Patty Ann Pappas. Her family and friends will remember her not just for her endearing personality but also for her unwavering strength and loyalty.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son, Troy Johnson.

Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana ) on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Nancy’s kindness are invited to attend. A funeral service to honor Nancy’s life will take place at the same location on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at 12:00 pm. with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
