Michael Wayne O'Neal

Michael Wayne O’Neal, 67, of Sellersburg Indiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 5, 2025, with his sister by his side.

Born on December 7, 1957, to Richard T. and Kay (Bentz) O’Neal, Michael was a skilled tradesman who worked as a welder and in construction. He also earned his associates degree from Ivy Tech Community College, always committed to learning and craftsmanship.

Michael had a lifelong love of music. A self-taught musician, he played both the guitar and keyboard. Music was a constant in his life and he played up until his passing.  Michael had an appreciation for the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, surrounded by nature. He attended North Side Christian Church and he was a veteran of the U.S Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Alan O’Neal. He is survived by his sister Martha Clark his niece Ellen Robisonand  nephew Matthew Clark and their families, along with extended family.

A visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on June 21, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM. The family invites those who knew Michael to join in remembering his life.
