Michael Wayne Nay

Michael Wayne Nay, a beloved husband, father, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25th, 2025, in his home in Sellersburg, Indiana, at the age of 70. Born on Friday, March 25th, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael's journey was marked by a life of service, hard work, and passionate interests.

Michael proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy. After his military service, he dedicated his professional life to his work as a mechanic, making significant contributions during his years at Reynolds in Louisville and previously at Pillsbury in New Albany. Michael's exceptional skill with engines was admired by many, and he enjoyed the thrill of buying cars, fixing them up, and bringing them back to life.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Michael found joy in simpler pleasures. He was never happier than when riding his motorcycles or enjoying a quiet evening in front of the TV, particularly captivated by shows like "Ancient Aliens."

Michael's memory and legacy live on through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Allitca Nay of Sellersburg, Indiana; his son, Clinton Nay (Tracy); and his daughter, Erica Drake (Devin) and his sister, Bobbi Young. Michael also leaves his step-children and many grandchildren to cherish his memory. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Diane Roberts, and his sister, Helen Beach. His family's love and devotion stand as a testament to the remarkable man Michael was.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Michael's life will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
