Michael John Hostetler

Michael John Hostetler, 78, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hostetler, his son, Eric Hostetler (Alex), his daughter Monica Purk, his grandchildren, Dr. Anna Purk, Dr. Katie Dries (Blake), Sam Purk and Stella Waits. Mike was an accountant for most of his life. He served his community on the Sellersburg Town Council and the Redevelopment Committee. He also honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. 
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (2253 West St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the procession to the church.
