Michael Bently Allgood

Michael Bently Allgood, a cherished resident of Underwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on Friday, June 28th, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael was a beloved husband, dad, brother, and friend.  

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Clara "Jeanie" Allgood, and his loving children: Lukas Allgood, Izabelle Allgood, and Madaline Allgood. He leaves behind his siblings: Steve Allgood (Shirley), Dennis Allgood (Tammy), and Jeane Bolton (Steve) and his close in-laws, Frank Everage (Kynda), Patty Popp (Ralph), Claude Everage (Judy), Janet Walls, Carl Everage (Anna), Jeff Everage (Marijane). Michael also leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Julian and Marjorie Allgood and by his mother-in-law, Ellogene Everage.  

A natural entrepreneur, Michael was a dedicated business owner who co-founded MC Custom Cabinets alongside his brother-in-law and best friend, Carl Everage. His passion and commitment to his work left a lasting impact on those he encountered, and he managed to balance his career with his deep love for family and community.  

Family was always at the forefront of Michael's heart. He was a regular supporter on the sidelines, cheering on his children in Providence football and both Providence and Union volleyball. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Michael found immense joy in University of Kentucky basketball. He was also a lover of the great outdoors, spending cherished moments with his wife and kids, fishing, hiking, and cycling with his son. A man of varied interests, he also held a passion for driving fast cars that brought him sheer delight.  

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, IN, on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday January 8 from 9:00 until the time of the service. A funeral service celebrating Michael's life will be held at Garr Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Memphis, Indiana.
