Michael Anthony Hay

Michael Anthony Hay, 72, entered eternity on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born on February 17, 1952, to the late Robert and Jewell (Royalty) Hay in Louisville, Kentucky.

Michael dedicated his professional life as a network analyst for the state of Kentucky Nursing Board, where he was known for his meticulous work and dedication to improving the state's healthcare infrastructure.

Beyond his career, Michael was passionate about bass fishing. He participated enthusiastically in numerous fishing tournaments, often found casting a line at his favorite spot, Nolin Lake in Kentucky. His love for the sport brought him joy and camaraderie with fellow fishing enthusiasts. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hay and Sandy Murphy.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Charlotte Hay of New Albany, Indiana, his sons, Stephen (Shannon) of New Albany, Christopher (Ramona) of Louisville, Kentucky and his sisters, Jackie Simms of Upton, Kentucky and Betty Jolley of Louisville. Michael also leaves 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
