Mary Victoria (Waters) Corby

Mary Victoria Corby (Waters), 83,  passed away on the evening of July 4, 2023 at the home she shared with her sister.

Born in Louisville, KY, Mary lived most of her life in the metro area with stints in Virginia, California, and Paris, France. Retired from National Distributors, she was also a member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge and American Legion (Post 204) and was an avid bingo player. Most of all, Mary was a proud mother and Granny. The love she gave to her family was immeasurable and will continue to be spread by those who received it.

She is preceded in death by her husband C. Peyton Corby, son John A. Magness IV, step-son Charles (Chuck) Corby, and brothers Joe Waters and George Waters.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Joe) Grimes, step-son Russell (Brandy) Corby, son in law Greg Lee-Corby, daughter in law Casey Carnes; her grandchildren John (Spencer) Magness, Christopher (Kaitlin) Magness, Hayley (Brandon) Sidebottom, Cole Corby, Weston Magness, Clayton Magness, Kyleigh Grimes, Peyton Grimes, Madison Magness, Presley Grimes; her sisters Clara (Tutsi) Skaggs, Monica Lindenmuth; and her great-grandchildren Dallas Sidebottom and  Casey Lee Magness.

Funeral services will be at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, IN. Visitation from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday July 12 followed by a service on Thursday July 13 at 11:00am with burial at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
