Mary Rose Evelyn Schindler, 78, of Marysville, Indiana, passed away January 6, 2026 in New Albany, Indiana. Born on November 29, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky Mary Rose was the daughter of Leo and Evelyn (Terry) Stenger. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

In her spare time Mary Rose enjoyed the challenge of completing crossword puzzles. Along with just being around and spending time with her family.

Mary Rose is survived by her loving husband John Schindler Sr.. Her sons BJ Beard (Becky) of Odessa Florida, John Schindler Jr. of Marysville, Indiana, and Rocky Schindler (Cassondra) of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Along with 6 grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Visitation for Mary Rose will be held at 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Friday January 9, 2026 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311 Sellersburg, Indiana 47172)

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday January 10, 2026 at St. Joe Hill Catholic Cemetery (2605 West St. Joe Road Sellersburg, Indiana 47172)
