Martha Conaway Vaught

 Martha Conaway Vaught, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, Indiana. Born in Marysville, Indiana on December 12, 1929, she was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Sylvia Conaway.

Martha's life was a testament to faith, family, and community. A former long-time member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church her unwavering dedication resonated deeply with all fellow congregants and friends. In recent years she was a devout member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church of Corydon.

Martha spent her golden years surrounded by those she loved the most. Survivors include her son, Terry Vaught (Bettye) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, her daughter, Janet Meek ( Roger) of Corydon, Indiana  . Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Daniel Vaught, Angela Jeffries, Lindsay Fouts, Traci Warren (Matt) and Trevor Adams (Allison), each carrying forward the values she instilled in them. Martha also leave 9 great-grandchildren to cherish her legacy. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron "Curly" Vaught, her brother Arnold Conaway, and her sister-in-law Gwen Conaway. Their memories remained close to her heart, and now she joins them in eternal peace.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Harrison Springs Health Campus and Southern Care Hospice for their heartfelt care.
