Mark Wesley Terry, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on January 8th, 1964, in Madison, Indiana, Mark spent his formative years in Madison before settling in Henryville, Indiana.
Mark was a proud alumnus of Silver Creek High School, where he showcased his passion for music as a member of the school band. This passion extended throughout his life, as he shared a birthday with the legendary Elvis Presley and took great joy in singing his songs.
A skilled and dedicated brick mason, Mark contributed to the community through his craftsmanship. He was respected by peers and clients alike for his dedication to his work and the beauty he left behind in every structure he touched. He was a long time member of the Christian Assembly Church.
Family was the cornerstone of Mark's life. He is lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 17 years Stacy (Ray) Terry; children: Kayla Todd (Brandon), Shawn Weppler (Tiffany), Melody Pugh (Travis), Holly Zettler (Brandon), and Brittany Weppler. Mark's legacy continues to thrive through his 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Terry (Chrisanna), who fondly recalls their shared childhood memories; and his faithful dog Tinker.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Troy and Betty Jo Terry, and his son, Austin Lee Bowles. Mark's deep love for his family and his enduring spirit will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana, on Monday, October 6th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at Garr Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
