Louis French, Jr.

Louis Bertrand French, Jr., of Harlingen, Texas, peacefully passed April 18, 2023 at fifty-nine years of age. He was born March 9, 1964 to the late Louis Bertrand and Mary Helen French in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Louis received a master’s degree in medical nuclear physics from the University of Cincinnati, was licensed as a Medical Physicist by the Texas Medical Board and was employed as a Medical Physicist at Valley Cancer Associates. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing and writing music, gardening, and woodworking.

Louis is preceded in death by his daughter, Bria French; his parents, Louis B. and Mary H. French; and his sister, Sharon Shopher.

Left to treasure Louis’memory is his life partner, Nivia Featherson; son, Chey French; stepson, Elijah Featherson; stepdaughter, Layla Featherstone; ex-wife, Tere French; sister, Geraldine (Otis) Adkins; brother, Joseph Blakely; brother-in-law, Mike Shopher; friends, Aryanna Hart and Dr. Mark Harrison; and five nieces and seven nephews.
