Linda D. (Jordan) Miller

Linda D. Miller, 74, entered eternal life on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on April 3, 1948 to Kenneth and Fava Jordan (Taylor) in New Albany. Linda was a retired educator. She worked for Greater Clark County Schools for 35 years as a teacher and administrator. Linda was an active member of the Henryville Community Church. She volunteered her time regularly at her local food pantry. In her younger years she was an avid softball player and coach. During her time as a coach, her team was known for their 7 year winning streak. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Miller, by her father, Kenneth Jordan and by her brother, Jay Jordan.

Survivors include her sons, Lonnie D. Ater (Rebecca) of Henryville, Indiana, William K. Ater (Mary) of Pekin, Indiana, her daughter, Wendy D. Hiser (Michael) of Yorkville, Illinois,  her mother, Fava Jordan of Sellersburg, her sister, Marcia Drury of Borden, Indiana and her grandchildren, Justin Ward, Brandon Ward, Kenny Ater, Christopher Ater, Michael Ater, Ryan Ater, Courtney Twigg and Andrew Hanley. Linda also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory, Jordan Ward, Destiny Ward, Nolan Ward, Bryce Ater, Sierrah Ater, Shane Lynn, Owen Twigg and Jamison Twigg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
