Linda Darleen (Hobbs) Gordon

Linda Darleen Gordon, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on June 1, 1945 to the late Leroy and Dora Hobbs (Bailey) in Sanford Florida. Linda worked at the Bales Motor Company for over 20 years where she was a title clerk. Prior to working at Bales she worked at the Old Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Company in Louisville and served the students of Henryville in the school cafeteria.  Linda thoroughly enjoyed working in her flower gardens and canning vegetables every fall. She will be remembered by her friends and family as the best cook around.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Tom Gordon of Borden, Indiana, her son, Jeffrey Gordon (Christen), her brother, Ronald Hobbs (Mary Ann), her grandson, Quincey, her granddaughters, Kennedy and Taytum, her niece, Ronda Jackson and her nephew, Tommy Hobbs.

A graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Bowery Cemetery in Memphis, Indiana. Visitation will be held at the Garr Funeral Home in a private setting due to the current pandemic conditions.
