Leatrice Lenora (Crandall) Jenkins, was born on October 29, 1938, the daughter of Huber and Louise Crandall, in Milltown, Indiana.
She passed away on October 12, 2021, at the age of 82, at Nortons Hospital, with family by her side.
Leatrice (Leah) was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Jenkins, father Huber, mother Louise, sisters Ruth Elrod and Martha Rightley.
Her spirit lives on through her sons Michael (Christy) Jenkins and Bryant, daughter Beth (Richard) Searl, grandsons Wesley (Jenifer) Jenkins, Ryan Searl, Robert Searl and one granddaughter Marlea (Kaleb) Lay, and three great grandchildren, brother Roger (Jo) Crandall, many dear family members, friends and neighbors.
Leah received a nursing degree from Baptist Hospital and a degree in Occupational Health from the University of Louisville. She worked as nurse in a Doctor's office, hospitals and a nursing home. She also taught Nursing Assistance at a community college. She felt her work there as a teacher was the most rewarding, as she was able to influence and improve the lives of young intercity women. Leah treasured spending time with her family and friends.
