Lauren Troy Renfro

Lauren Troy Haire, a beloved nurse and devoted family member, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on June 8th, 1980, in Louisville, Kentucky, Lauren was a cherished resident of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Lauren dedicated her life to the service of others, a commitment that began with her graduation from Our Lady of Providence High School in 1998. She pursued higher education at Ball State University and went on to earn her nursing degree from Galen College. Her kind and caring nature found its perfect expression in her role as a nurse at Norton Hospital of Louisville, Kentucky, where she was known for her compassion and dedication to her patients.

Lauren's life was filled with joy and love. She cherished spending time with her family and adored her dogs, Abbi and Neo. Music occupied a special place in Lauren’s heart, often traveling near and far with family and loved ones to watch live performances. Chris Stapleton and the Eagles were memorable concerts. Her love for shopping and her infectious smile will be fondly remembered by those who knew her. 

Lauren is survived by her loving family, including her parents, Gary and Rhonda Renfro (Sosh); her brothers, Garrett Renfro (Katie) and Gabe Renfro; and her nieces and nephew, Moira, Ella, and Baxter Renfro.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Friends and family are invited to pay their respects as they gather to celebrate Lauren's life. Following the visitation, a funeral service to honor Lauren's legacy will be held at 3:00 pm at the same location.
