Joshua E. Cannon

Joshua E. Cannon, 30, entered eternal life on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on July 29, 1992 in Jeffersonville to Richard and Holly Cannon (Edwards).  Josh was a 2011 graduate of Borden High School and a member of the Carr Township Baptist Church. He played football throughout his youth and served on the Sellersburg Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter for years. Josh loved spending quality time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. He had a passion for music. Josh loved going to concerts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Doris Edwards, by his Paternal grandmother, Phyllis Cannon, by his paternal great-grandparents, John and Ruth Peake, by his uncles, Leonard Cannon, Tim Edwards and by his aunts, Carolyn Crone and Dena Bentley.

Survivors include his parents, Rick and Holly Cannon of Charlestown, Indiana, his brother, Richard Cannon, Jr. (Kelly) of Sellersburg, his sister, Rebecca Cannon of Borden, Indiana, his paternal grandfather, Arthur Cannon of Clarksville, Indiana, his uncles, Johnny Edwards of Memphis, Indiana, Allen Cannon (Angie) of Pensacola, Florida, Steve Crone, of Borden, Indiana, his aunt, Sarah Cannon of Salem, Indiana, his nieces, Reese Cannon, Samantha Cannon, Sophia Cox, Rosalina Cox, Alora Lopez, his nephews, Jonah Ray Cannon, Landon Lopez and his cousins, Cinnamon Jawor (Jack), Candy Crone, Jake Jawor, Rachel O’Brien (Adam), Spensor O’Brien, Christian O’Brien, Chip Lind (Amy), Chrissy McCord, Bailey Cannon, Noah Cannon, Jonah Cannon and Maggie Cannon. Josh also leaves many dear friends behind to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Miller Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Garr Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
