Jane Ellen Matthews [Berry] was born December 1st, 1947 to her parents Raymond D. and Catherine Renz Berry, both deceased. She is also preceded in death by her sister Glenda Berry Peters. Jane died peacefully of natural causes in her home in the presence of her family on February 13th, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phillip Matthews; their only daughter, Jennifer Smith and son-in-law Michael Smith. Jane had 3 grandchildren; Alex Smith [wife Jalisa], Maxwell Smith [fiancé Grace], and Samuel Smith; as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Aria, Briar, and Connor Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
