James Thomas Harbin, age 82, passed away on July 10, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. Jim was born on August 15, 1940 to parents Carl & Mary Harbin in Charlestown, Indiana. His living sister is Joyce Nokes (Ronnie). He is preceded in death by siblings Bob Harbin, David Harbin, Betty Zollman, & Alice Holder. On July 1, 1960, Jim & Sharon (Huneryager) were married. What a wonderful 63 years!!! Jim & Sharon went on to have 3 children: Diane Carver (Rob), Jamie Graf (Ken), Tom Harbin (Nettie). Then came the grandchildren: Rebecca, Katie, Phil, Beth, Ashley, Rachel, & Kyle Then came the great-grandchildren: Kai, Laeken, Addyson, Zachariah, Jace, Piper, Keaton, Tom, Jr., Bowen, Aubrey James was baptized at the Sellersburg Church of Christ on March 1, 1972. He was employed at and retired from Cissel Mfg., Louisville, Kentucky after 37 years. Jim loved the Lord, his family, bass or crappie fishing, deer and arrow-head hunting, working on his THREE - 1940 Chevy’s, going to car shows, yard sale shopping, and hard work.
The Celebration of Life for Brother James T. Harbin will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Garr Funeral Home (7608 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
