James "Jap" A. Perry

James A. “Jap” Perry, 81, entered eternal life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd.  He retired from DuPont after 40 years of service, was a former Administrator at the Sellersburg Moose Family Center where he was a member for 50 years and held the Pilgrim Degree.  Jap was also a member of the Sellersburg American Legion Post 204 and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jeffersonville.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Perry, Sr. and Anna Wright Perry, brother, Paul, Jr., sister, Geneva Wilson, brother-in-law, Jack Wilson, sister, Mary :Tomie” Shain, brother-in-law, Ed Shain, Nephew, David “Boney” Armstrong.  Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Dismore Perry, brother-in-law, Ray (Betty) Dismore and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Miller Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 2-8PM and anytime after 9AM until the time of service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sellersburg Moose Family Center, 1040 S.
