It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Malone on July 3, 2023, at the age of 48. Born June 25, 1975, James was a beacon of joy and laughter throughout his life, touching many with his warmth and kindness.
James is survived by his wife, Patricia, children Ashley, Thomas, Karli, and Zachary Malone, mother, Bonita Lyons, sister, Lori Malone, both of Virginia, brother Robert Malone of Michigan and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was proceeded in death by his father Donnie Malone.
James was a dedicated father, a loving husband, and a steadfast friend. He had a humorous personality, always the life of the party, and was often described as funny, kind, and generous. One of his favorite sayings was, "Don’t take life too seriously," a lesson he dearly wished to impart to his children.
His favorite pastimes were simple and down-to-earth. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, singing karaoke, fishing and many other activities that attested to his nourishing and loving nature. James was a strong supporter of The Patriots. He died an unapologetic fan, as anyone who tried to switch the channel on game days would attest.
In terms of his personal preferences, James loved sweet tea, as per his Southern roots. His favorite color was blue, as reflective as his deep, compassionate personality. Discovery Cove and amusement parks were his preferred vacation spots, where he enjoyed being a child at heart with his family.
Despite the many roles he played in life, perhaps his greatest accomplishment was raising a beautiful family. His legacy of humor, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on through his children, leaving an indelible impact on everyone privileged enough to have known him.
Let us remember James not with sadness, but with the joy and love he brought into our lives. His echo of laughter will forever resonate with us, as will the memory of his display of love, generosity, and the life lessons he imparted. As we say farewell, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in his children and the enduring love of his wife, Patricia. Rest in peace, James Malone.
