Jacquelyn D. Boger, 72, entered eternity peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on November 12, 1951, in Bedford, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jack and Mabel Boger (Blanton).
Jacquie enjoyed a long and successful career in accounting within the healthcare field, where her dedication and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Outside of work, she found joy in watching sports, especially when her children and grandchildren were playing. She was a devoted Indiana University sports fan. In her younger years, Jacquie enjoyed playing in softball and bowling leagues. She thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with her family and her friends.
Known for her kindness and sweet nature, Jacquelyn was a woman who had everyone’s best interest at heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. On Saturday she joined her brother, Mark Boger, her niece, Amber Boger and her nephew, Jacob Boger in eternity.
Survivors include her sons, Robbie Albert of New Albany, Indiana, JR Shields (Jessica) of Memphis, Indiana, her daughter, Shannon Albert of Jeffersonville, Indiana, her brothers, Terry Boger (Lynn) of Woodstock, Georgia, Jeff Boger of Memphis, Indiana, her sisters, Shawna Helton of Charlestown, Indiana, Debbie Boger of California and her grandchildren, McKinnah Bowling (Wesley), Bailey Sharp, Olivia Albert and Parker Shields. Jacquie also leaves her great-grandson, Rhett Bowling and many nieces and nephews to cherish her legacy.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172).
